Great Yarmouth Attractions Opening Soon.

At long last some good news! The government have announced that attractions and zoos can finally start to open, all with lots of social distancing and new rules to keep everyone safe, here is a roundup of Great Yarmouth Attractions that you can now visit, or do so in the near future and what you need to do before you visit or during your time at the venue. this list will be updated accordingly.

Thrigby Wildlife Park

Thrigby Hall will reopen exclusively for Season Ticket holders only on Wednesday 1st July until Friday 3rd July and will then open from Saturday 4th July to all visitors. No non season ticket holders will be permitted on these 3 days due to limiting visitor numbers per day, its important to remember your valid season ticket. If it has expired during the period of closure then this is still classed as valid. All season tickets will be exchanged for a new ticket with an extended expiry date. Only one season ticket holder per group of 6 is needed to book. Bookings are time and date specified only and are non-refundable except if the Gardens are closed.

Thrigby will open at 10am and last admissions at 4pm, the park will close at 5pm.

Ticket numbers are limited per day so its advisable to book as early as possible to ensure you are able to visit on the day you wish. To book your tickets, head over to the website www.thrigbyhall.com Tickets are free to members and Under 3s but you must still include them on the booking to ensure the correct number of people visiting are accounted for. To keep queuing to a minimum, you will need to book and arrival slot and keep to this time to avoid overcrowding.

Toilets and baby changing facilities will be available and a takeaway service from the Cockatoo cafe will be running with limited outdoor seating, you are welcome to bring a picnic and your own picnic blankets/chairs.

Face Masks are not mandatory, but if you feel safer wearing one, you are welcome to. the park will be operating a one way route around the park with separate entry and exit lanes at the main entrance to ensure safety of everyone.

The Swamp House and Forest House are currently closed.

The play areas are closed until 4th july, after this date the 3d Maze and Undercover play Area will remain closed but the outdoor ones will open.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach

Great Yarmouth Attractions - Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach will reopen on Saturday 11th July and you will be able to book a 3 hour time slot, which will cost £12 each, you need to book online before your visit. You have a choice of 10.30am -13.30pm or 14.15pm – 17.15pm Under 3s are FREE but you still need to book a ticket online to be able to access the Pleasure Beach.

Your e-ticket will specify a designated entry gate (A,B or C). You may arrive at this gate 30 minutes prior to your chosen session start time. Social distancing must be adhered to. All members on the booking must be present at time of entry. Once the QR code is scanned, it will automatically become invalid for further use.

Hand gel will be located at all ride entrances and it is request that this is used prior to riding. Further hand gel stations are located at various points through the park itself.

You will have unlimited access during those 3 hours to the rides, and with limited numbers of people allowed into the park you should be able to ride all you need within that time, although there will be restrictions on the rides, check out what they are :

4-D Cinema Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately this will not be shown in 3D at this time, there will also be seat separations, where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same family/bubble.

Big Apple Coaster Minimum height 1m. There will be seat separations, where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same family/bubble.

Bonanza Minimum height 1m, if under this height you must be accompanied by someone from the same household/bubble.

Cups and Saucers Under 0.9m must be accompanied, no babies in arms and each individual cup must be accommodated by persons from the same household/bubble.

Disko Minimum height 1.2m There will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.

Dodgems Minimum height to ride: 1 m (passenger) & 1.25 m (driver). To assist in social distancing some cars have been removed from the track. Individual dodgems must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Family Star Minimum height to ride: 1.3 m. Up to 4 persons from the same household/bubble per car.

Flying Dumbo Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m. Children between 0.9m and 1.2m may be accompanied by a more mature fare paying person. Individual Dumbos must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Formula One No babies in arms. This ride is for CHILDREN ONLY.
To ensure social distancing there will be seat separation. Persons riding in cars that can accommodate more than one person must be from the same household/bubble.

Freefall Minimum height to ride: 1 m. Under 1.2m must be accompanied. To ensure social distancing there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.

Fun Factory Minimum height to ride: 1.1 m. May ride under this height if accompanied. No open-toe shoes permitted. Social distancing must be adhered to at times throughout this attraction. Any groups entering together must be from the same household/bubble.

Gallopers Must be accompanied if under: 0.9 m. No babies in arms. To ensure social distancing there will be seat separation. Individual horses and chariots must only be accommodated by persons from the same household/bubble.

Log Flume Minimum height to ride: 1.1 m. Up to 5 persons from the same household/bubble per log.

Haunted Hotel Must be accompanied if under: 0.9 m. No babies in arms. Individual cars must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Monorail Minimum height to ride: 1.25 m. May ride under this height if accompanied. Up to 4 persons from the same household/bubble per car.

Pirate Ship Minimum height to ride: 1.1 m. To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Only members of the same household/bubble permitted on any one row.

Lightning 360 Minimum height to ride: 1.3m. Individual planes must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Raft Ride Minimum height to ride: 1.25 m. May ride under this height if accompanied by a more mature fare paying person. Individual rafts must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Rollercoaster Must be accompanied if under: 0.9 m. No babies in arms. To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.

Reverse Time Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m. To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.

Sky Drop Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m. To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.

Twister Minimum height to ride: 1.25 m. Individual cars must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Snails and Fairy Tales Must be accompanied if under: 1.25 m. No babies in arms. Individual snails must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Whirlwind Minimum height to ride: 1 m. Must be accompanied if under: 1.2 m. Seat pairs must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Yo-Yo Minimum height to ride: 1 m. May ride under this height if accompanied. Individual Yo Yo’s must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.

Merrivale Model Village

Great Yarmouth Attractions Merrivale Model Village

Merrivale Model Village will be opening to the public on 4th July. The cost will be £6.99 per person and needs to be booked in advance, head over to their page and choose the time and date you would like to visit, and the number of people attending, they will then get back to you with confirmation and total price, which will be paid at admissions on arrival, preferably by card.

Sealife Centre Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth Attractions - Sealife Centre

All tickets must be pre booked to visit the Sealife Centre in Great Yarmouth, you can do that by visit the ticket section of the website. The Indoor Play Area will not be open when you visit. Before leaving home on the day of your visit, it is advisable to check the website or facebook page for the latest updated information. If you are making payments on-site, they must be contactless rather than cash.

The number of people allowed into the Sealife centre has been greatly reduced to allow for correct social distancing. Guests will notice new signage information informing them of key safety messages and information. Temperature Checks may be carried out.

Clear Markers and signage have been placed in the entrances, restrooms and dining areas to ensure everyone is keeping a safe distance.

Tables and Chairs in the Dining Area have been arranged to ensure there is sufficient space between diners. There are a number of hand sanitising stations throughout the building.

Cafe facilities may have reduced menu, to encourage a grab and go, the cutlery will be given to the customer with the meal, instead of in a communal area.

Pettitts Animal Adventure Park

Pettitts will re open on 4th July. If possible please try to book online, prior to your visit and where possible please use contactless payments to reduce the amount of money.

Face masks are not essential, but if your local authority advises then please feel free to wear them.

Check the website and social media for latest updates before you leave for your visit.

When you arrive at the park, please respect social distancing, the numbers in the park have been reduced but you will still encounter people throughout the park. Signage has been put up around the park, please ensure you adhere to the directions, they are for your own safety.

Some indoor attractions will be suspended, empty rows of seats on rides will be there for your protection and to ensure correct social distancing.

Picnic Benches and Tables & Chairs will be spaced enough to enable the correct level of distancing.

There are measures in place to maintain social distancing in the theatre during the daily live shows. Any guests from different parties must leave a gap of two seat between them and the rows of seats have been spaced apart adequately to allow for social distancing.

A number of hygiene stations and hand sanitisers units have been installed, please ensure these are used on a regular basis.

Wroxham Barns

Wroxham Barns will be welcoming visitors again from 4th July, opening from 10am-5pm.

There will be Alcohol hand rub stations in place around the site. Social distancing queuing systems are in place. It will be cashless in Gallery gifts, Junior farm & Fun Park, Farmyard café and Restaurant.

There are Perspex screens at till points to keep everyone safe. One-way farm and Fun Park system, certain indoor areas such as indoor play will remain closed for the time being, and hands-on animal activities suspended. Pre booking is required for Junior Farm & Fun Park (including season pass holders and vouchers).

The farmyard cafe will be open, tables and chairs are placed accordingly for social distancing, these must not be moved. Please use the entrance and exit routes as required. Restaurant is planning on re opening 22nd July with new system in place.

The Junior Farm and Fun Park has had an overhaul during lockdown, and going forward they will both be open weekends from February Half term – October Half term, plus everyday for each school holiday, finally, reopening again for the Christmas experience at weekends in December.

The Fun Park is having a refurbishment and will be completed by 22nd July, from this point onwards Junior Farm and The Fun Park will become one combined and exciting offering/ticket moving forward, sounds a very exciting time for Wroxham Barns.

Pleasurewood Hills

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park will be opening it’s doors on 4th July. It is essential that you pre book your tickets prior to visiting.

The park is operating a contactless transaction throughout the park, no cash will be accepted.

Staff members will be wearing masks and ppe, it is recommended that guests do so too.

There are wash stations throughout the park, and enhanced cleaning during the day.

No further updates on what rides are available and how you are able to go on them.
